The "Gender in Language Education" training is designed to empower English teachers to recognize various forms of gender bias and stereotypes, understand the barriers learners face regarding gender equality and equity, and discover practical ways to overcome them.
The training consists of three comprehensive modules:
Module 1: Understanding gender equality in education — Helps teachers grasp key concepts related to gender equality and reflect on these issues both globally and within their own classrooms.
- Module 2: Analysing gender in teaching practice and materials — Explores how gender dynamics in classroom practices and instructional materials influence learners and their overall learning experiences.
- Module 3: Creating gender-inclusive classrooms and schools — Guides teachers in identifying gender patterns in the classroom and the wider school environment, while exploring strategies to make learning more inclusive, fair, and equitable for all.
